February is often the point where the year starts to feel real. The initial energy of January has passed, and many people find themselves being unsure about their next steps - personally, professionally, or just in life.
You might be feeling ready for change, but unsure what that change should look like.
Perhaps in the past, you have set goals but found yourself drifting off course?
You might want more confidence in your decisions, more clarity about your direction, or simply a sense that you’re moving forward instead of standing still.
Or maybe, you sometimes find yourself constantly dreaming about making a change but struggle to take action?
This workshop is for you if you want…
This workshop is based on practical, well-established approaches from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), but no prior knowledge is needed.
Everything is explained in clear, everyday language and grounded in real life.
There’s no pressure to share, perform, or have the answers - just an invitation to explore and reflect at your own pace.
You don’t
have to arrive with a plan.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want yet.
Jo will show you how NLP can help you let go of old patterns, feel more confident, and understand what you want going forward.
Jo’s online workshops are always fun, fully interactive and thought provoking and, even more importantly, make the impact you need.
The day will unfold in a natural, supportive way rather than following a rigid agenda. Areas we’ll explore may include:
Clarifying your direction
Exploring what you want the rest of 2026 (and beyond) to be about, even if you’re currently unsure of your next steps.
Understanding your thoughts and behaviour
Gaining insight into the thinking patterns and habits that shape your confidence, motivation, and choices — and how to loosen patterns that no longer support you.
How change really happens
A clear, accessible model that helps you understand where change needs to happen for it to last.
Creating a clear pathway forward
Turning reflection into a practical, achievable pathway that feels aligned rather than overwhelming.
Building confidence and self-belief
Developing a healthier relationship with your inner dialogue so confidence can grow naturally.
Understanding what’s truly important to you
Clarifying your values so your goals, boundaries, and decisions reflect who you really are.
Setting supportive boundaries
Learning how to protect your time and energy so you can move forward with greater ease and balance.
I came to NLP with a background in human and business psychology and over 18 years’ experience in coaching, training and senior leadership roles across healthcare, public and commercial sectors. I am honoured to now be a double award-winning NLP Trainer and to have trained thousands of people to use NLP in a way that genuinely fits real life.
What matters most to me is how people experience the training. I don’t believe in delivering a course and then disappearing. Everything I do is centred around the Beyond NLP community - supporting people to apply what they learn in their work, relationships and everyday lives.
Many people arrive wanting tools to help others, and they leave with that, plus something unexpected for themselves: more confidence, stronger boundaries, clearer communication and a different way of handling situations that used to feel difficult.
I know what it’s like to be on the hamster wheel of stress, responsibility and “shoulds”. NLP helped me step off it, put myself back on the priority list, and choose a different way forward. That lived understanding shapes how I train, connect and support people every step of the way.
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. At its heart, it’s about the connection between the way we think (neuro), the language we use (linguistic), and the patterns of behaviour that follow (programming). In practice, it’s a toolkit for understanding how we and others experience the world—and how to communicate more effectively, with ourselves and with those around us.
From a personal perspective, NLP helps you recognise the inner dialogue and patterns that shape your motivation, emotions, and actions. We all have “programmes” running in the background—beliefs, habits, and thought patterns—that shape how we feel and how we act. Some of these are useful, others hold us back. With NLP, you can spot these patterns and change them. This means you can boost your motivation, overcome procrastination, build confidence, and improve the way you respond to challenges. It’s like being handed the user manual for your own brain. NLP also helps you improve the way you express yourself with others with a wide range of communication tools that enable you to create better connection and understanding.
From a leadership and organisational perspective, NLP is a powerful tool for understanding people. Every member of your team has their own motivational drivers, communication style, and way of processing information. By recognising these differences, you can adapt how you lead, engage, and inspire. This creates stronger relationships, clearer communication, and a culture where people feel understood and motivated. NLP techniques can help leaders resolve conflict more effectively, align teams around shared goals, create a culture of trust and growth, and create environments where performance and wellbeing go hand in hand.
NLP is practical. It’s not about theory that sits on a shelf—it’s about techniques you can use immediately in conversations, meetings, decision-making, and everyday life. Whether you want to handle difficult situations with more ease, strengthen your relationships, enhance your leadership, or simply feel more in control of your choices, NLP provides proven strategies to make it happen.
At its core, NLP is about empowerment: giving you greater choice over your thoughts, your emotions, your communication, and ultimately your results. For individuals, this means personal growth and resilience. For organisations, it means motivated teams, stronger leadership, and better outcomes.
In short: NLP helps you understand yourself and others at a deeper level—and use that insight to create positive, lasting change.
